Matthew Holland
I'm IT Manager for an independent telco, with no professional experience of Linux whatsoever.
For my own use I rent a VM in a datacentre somewhere that I use for internet things (web, mail, etc.), I have a retired Win98 box that now works as router/firewall and a machine running VMware Server for particularly unstable or temporary tasks. All three are Debian; the first because I didn't have much choice, and the other two (and one or two others in between) because by that stage it was what I was used to.
My experience of Linux as a desktop operating system lasted for only a few days before the laptop finally died. (Although it lasted longer with that than it had with WinXP)
